Skype 4.7 for Android : Give Your Battery a Sigh of Relief
Sometimes a little change in your life can create huge differences. Skype has made a small update in it to make you able to leave Skype running on your Android mobile without worrying about your battery consumption. In a blog, Skype team has clearly mentioned that with Skype 4.7 for Android, you are allowed to keep Skype running without affecting your mobile/tablet battery life.
How it works?
To make this possible, they have temporarily turned off the instant group chat notification messages. They are still working on this application and in future, you will be able to get notification in group chats.
How to turn on instant notification of messages in group chats?
However, for those users who can’t wait that to happen, Skype team has added an alternate option to receive instant notification in group chat.
Go to Settings > Notifications > check the “Sync group messages in the background” box
In Skype 4.7, you will be able for audio and video calling on tablets that do not have Bluetooth, and you can see your Windows Live Messenger contacts in the Skype (default) view, not just the all contacts view.
