Google’s New Penalty on Rich Snippet Spamming

Now it’s time to read the Google guidelines again. Because, Google is taking manual action against those websites which have spammy structured markup. Now the question is that how can we check a structured markup is spammy.

If you are using some techniques to hide your content from users and/or misleading information or any other unscrupulous behaviors, which is against the Google’s Rich Snippet Guidelines.
 


After penalizing your website Google sends a notification mail to you -

“Markup on some pages on this site appears to use techniques such as marking up content that is invisible to users, marking up irrelevant or misleading content, and/or other manipulative behaviors that violates Google’s Rich Snippet Quality guidelines“.
 

You can check the Rich Snippet of your website here because Google can or will penalize a site which is using markups in a deceitful or manipulative way.

So, keep your website clean from any spammy activity.
