PageRank and Alexa Rank both helps to judge a website quality. But, many of us get confused between these two ranking parameters. So, lets see what are the differences in Google PR and Alexa Rank and how can we improve them :

PageRank of a website varies from 0 to 10. It depends on the backlinks of a website. Therefore, if you want to have high PageRank then get more backlinks for your website. Higher the PageRank, most reputed is your site.

  • usa.gov etc.

Note : get.adobe.com/reader/ is the only internal page which have 10 PR.

AlexaAlexa Rank: Alexa Internet, Inc. was founded in 1996 and it was acquired by the Amazon in 1999. Alexa tool bar is use to provide the web traffic data for website.

Alexa Rank of a website depends on the web traffic on a website. It means, if your website has more visitors then the Alexa rank of your website will be low. It may vary from 1 to 30 million (as of 2013).

Note : More than one website can have same PageRank. But, every website has different Alexa rank.
